Terms and conditions of use

The DPHI Image Library is for use by staff of the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure. This includes permanent, temporary and contract staff.

The Image Library is a large collection of photos that can be used in external and internal publications, advertising, marketing collateral and presentations.

Every image in this library is owned outright by DPHI with no expiry on its use. When using the images for department purposes you are not required to give credit in your collateral for the images you use. Different conditions apply for external departments or agencies using DPHI images.

Photo consents have been obtained for every image in this library that has a person which is the main subject of the image and is clearly identifiable. This is the consent form and it is located on the intranet under the masterbrand corporate templates.  

You must not:

• allow images to be copied, transferred or provided in any form, in whole or in part, to any other external persons, NSW Government departments or organisations, except with written approval from DPHI
• use the image in a manner or context which is, or could be reasonably taken to be, derogatory, defamatory, misleading, deceptive or otherwise unlawful in any way
• materially alter, mutilate or distort the image in any way, except with written approval from DPHI.

Any watermarked image may only be used as a test or sample for the purpose of determining placement or layout. The image may not be used in any final materials distributed to or made available to the public including any marketing, advertising or online materials.
